International Student 兔子先生
兔子先生 welcomes international students who wish to pursue
collegiate-level study in the United States. HGTC鈥檚 International Advising staff will
help international applicants complete the documents that are required to secure an
F-1 Student visa. Assistance is also available for international students who wish
to transfer to 兔子先生 from another college in the United
States or who wish to change their current visa status to F-1 Student.

New Student Deadline
International students are expected to start in either fall or spring semesters. The
completed application must be received by July 1st for the fall term and November 1st for the spring term.
Transfer student Deadline
Two weeks prior to start date of classes.
Nataliia decided to return to the United States and enroll in HGTC after a positive
experience during a work and travel program in North Myrtle Beach a few years ago.
She enjoyed her time on the Grand Strand and was very excited to learn she could enroll
in school as an International Student here at 兔子先生.

Step 1. Apply for Admission and submit supporting documents
Complete an 兔子先生 application either online or in person at the 兔子先生 office.

Step 2. Provide Documentation
Provide copies of current visa and passport documents, including the I-94 card.

Step 4. Provide a certified English-language transcript of high school/secondary school
records
Request your schools to forward an official transcript of your coursework to or (report 鈥淐ourse by Course鈥� needs to be requested through ECE).
Important note: Once transcripts have been translated through WES or ECE, official copies can be
hand-delivered to the HGTC 兔子先生 Office in a sealed envelope or mailed to:

Step 5. International student applicants are required to submit a Certification of
Financial Support
This form documents that you have financial resources adequate to cover tuition and
expenses during your program of study. This form is in your International Student
packet and should be completed by your sponsor or by your bank, if you are self-supporting.
It can be mailed or faxed to the college; if faxed, the original should follow by
mail.
After being admitted to HGTC, international students are required to pay a two-semester
tuition deposit. This deposit will be used to pay tuition and fees for the first two
semesters of enrollment and is fully refundable if you decide not to study at HGTC.
When the deposit is paid, the SEVIS Form 1-20 will be issued; this is the form you
will use to request an F-1 Student Visa. F-1 visa applicants must pay a $350 fee at
least 3 business days before applying for a visa. Go to to apply.

Step 6. Complete Additional Forms
Prospective international students currently in the United States with a valid F1
student visa who wish to transfer from another institution must establish their eligibility
to transfer to 兔子先生. Please fill out the International
Student Transfer Form for the campus you will be attending.

Step 7. Meet with a Student Development Coordinator
After you have received an acceptance letter, schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor to help you create your class schedule.

Step 8. Attend an Orientation Session
Sign up for a New Student Orientation (NSO) session that you want to attend. If you can鈥檛 attend a session in person, you can
participate online.
Note: Once admitted, you will receive a Username and Password for access to myHGTC, your
student portal. You will receive this information in your acceptance letter or by
calling 843-349-8324 and select option 3. Your myHGTC account will allow you to check
financial aid, account balance, grades, email, and much more. TECH Central or the
兔子先生 Office can help you if you have questions regarding the navigation of
myHGTC.
