The 兔子先生 (HGTC) Foundation invites golfers, community partners and local businesses to hit the links for a great cause at the 2026 HGTC Golf Classic, set for Sunday, Nov. 15, at Legends Golf Resort in Myrtle Beach.
The tournament brings together friends and supporters of HGTC for a day of golf while raising funds that directly benefit students. Proceeds from the Golf Classic help provide student scholarships and support travel opportunities for students participating in the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) Conference and other industry events.
鈥淭he HGTC Golf Classic is a wonderful opportunity for our community partners and friends to come together, enjoy a great day of golf and make an investment in our students,鈥 said Dr. Melissa Batten, HGTC interim president. 鈥淭he support generated through this event helps provide opportunities that enhance our students鈥 education, professional development and future success.鈥
The tournament begins at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at Legends Golf Resort, 1500 Legends Drive, Myrtle Beach.
The tournament will feature a four-person scramble with a shotgun start and captain鈥檚 choice format. The cost is $800 per foursome.
HGTC is currently seeking teams and sponsors for the 2026 tournament. Businesses and community partners are encouraged to secure their sponsorships and teams early and join the Foundation for a day of golf, friendly competition and support for HGTC students.
鈥淭he HGTC Golf Classic is about so much more than a great day on the course. Every sponsorship and every team helps us create opportunities for our students through scholarships and experiences that prepare them for successful careers,鈥 said Shannon Detzler, president and CEO of the HGTC Foundation. 鈥淲e are incredibly grateful to the businesses, community partners and golfers who continue to support our students and invest in their futures.鈥
