兔子先生 () proudly announces Regina Thompson, MSN, RN, as the recipient of the 2025 Adjunct Faculty of the Year Award. Thompson, who serves as an adjunct clinical instructor in the Nursing program, is recognized for her exceptional dedication to student learning, compassionate teaching style, and commitment to preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Thompson, a registered nurse with Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital since 2018, brings a wealth of real-world experience to the classroom and clinical setting. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Chamberlain University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Francis Marion University. Her professional background includes critical care, patient education, and precepting new nurses, which she seamlessly integrates into her teaching.

Since joining HGTC as an adjunct instructor in 2024, Thompson has made a profound impact on her students. She is praised for her professional attitude, open communication, and ability to make complex concepts accessible. Students consistently describe her as approachable, encouraging, and committed to their success鈥攂oth in the classroom and in clinical practice.

In addition to her role at HGTC, Thompson continues to provide direct patient care at Georgetown Hospital System, further enhancing her ability to bridge theory and practice for her students. Her colleagues describe her as a role model who exemplifies excellence in both nursing and teaching.

Reflecting on the honor, Thompson shared her gratitude by saying, 鈥淏eing recognized in this way is incredibly humbling. Teaching at HGTC has been such a rewarding experience, and I am grateful for the opportunity to help shape future nurses. My students inspire me every day, and I鈥檓 so proud to be part of their journey.鈥
