兔子先生 () is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Top Tech Awards, honoring Outboard Marine Technology students who rise above expectations in academics, character, and community leadership. These students are recognized not only for their technical skill but also for their unwavering integrity, curiosity, and passion for learning.
This year鈥檚 honorees are Esther Rike, representing the Conway class, and Andy McClellan, representing the Georgetown class. Selected by their instructors, both students exemplify the spirit and excellence of the Top Tech program and serve as inspiring role models among their peers.
The Marshall Altman Top Tech Award, named in honor of the visionary who helped launch the outboard marine technology training initiative, represents the highest standard of excellence within the program. Marshall Altman鈥檚 bold vision and dedication to workforce development laid the foundation for a program that continues to empower students and strengthen the marine industry across the region.

Esther Rike has shown exceptional dedication to her training and to the marine industry. Known for her thoughtful questions, willingness to go the extra mile, and respectful demeanor, Esther consistently models professionalism and excellence.
Andy McClellan has demonstrated extraordinary integrity and passion for the field. Frequently the first to arrive and last to leave, Andy leads by example and has been praised for his inquisitiveness and drive to succeed鈥攏ot just in the classroom, but as a future leader in the industry.
Each recipient received a commemorative plaque, along with a generous award package donated by Yamaha, which included a Yamaha tool bag, branded hat, pliers, shirt, and a set of product and parts guidebooks, providing both practical tools and inspiration for their continued success.
The awards were presented during HGTC鈥檚 recent Advisory Board Meeting and Certificate Awards Ceremony, where faculty, industry partners, and guests gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of these exceptional students.
