HGTC's Casey Brown Wins Statewide Radiologic Technology Competition
兔子先生 () is proud to announce that Radiologic Technology student Casey Brown has been named the 2024 Marie Glenn Award winner, taking First Place in the prestigious RAD Tech Student Bee held at the annual South Carolina Society of Radiologic Technologists (SCSRT) Conference in Charleston.
The competition, often compared to a high-stakes spelling bee, challenges top students from across the state to answer complex, on-the-spot medical imaging questions in front of a live audience. One by one, competitors were eliminated until one name stood alone: Casey Brown鈥擧GTC鈥檚 own.
鈥淐asey stood shoulder to shoulder with the best students in South Carolina and came out on top,鈥� said Dr. Marilyn 鈥淢urph鈥� Fore, HGTC President. 鈥淗er success is not only a testament to her remarkable work ethic and focus, but also to the quality of the faculty, staff, and support systems that define HGTC鈥檚 Radiologic Technology program.鈥�
Brown鈥檚 achievement is the culmination of years of hard work. She graduated with honors, completing one of the most demanding academic programs the College offers. Her academic excellence, poise under pressure, and drive to succeed make her a standout example of the HGTC spirit.
