Dr. Michael Roberts, HGTC Writer in Residence & English Professor
兔子先生 () is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Michael Roberts, esteemed English Professor, as the College鈥檚 first-ever Writer in Residence. This prestigious role, effective April 1, 2025, marks an exciting new chapter for the college鈥檚 literary and academic landscape.
Dr. Roberts, a renowned author and educator with a deep passion for literature, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position. As Writer in Residence, he will play a vital role in enriching the academic and cultural environment of the college by engaging with students, faculty, and the broader community. His duties will include assisting with college readings at major events, mentoring students as they work on their submissions for the HGTC student publication Waves, and collaborating on various literary initiatives.

The Writer in Residence position is a volunteer role that highlights Dr. Roberts鈥� dedication to both academic excellence and community service. His term will run through August 1, 2027, after which he will assist in selecting the next Writer in Residence. This role is an exciting opportunity for Dr. Roberts to further his passion for literature while giving back to the College and the surrounding community.
