HGTC Golf & Sports Turf Management Team students to showcase talent at ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic 2025
() is proud to announce the continuation of its partnership and hospitality sponsorship with the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic, taking place May 5–11, 2025, at the prestigious Dunes Golf & Beach Club.
Following a successful collaboration in 2024, HGTC is once again aligning its Golf & Sports Turf Management program with this premier PGA TOUR event to provide students, faculty, and alumni with unmatched hands-on experience in professional golf operations and course preparation.

As a hospitality sponsor and workforce development partner, HGTC has identified four key areas of involvement, including golf course maintenance, turfgrass program participation, student-led community engagement, and professional networking. Through these efforts, students are not only enhancing the quality of the event but also developing career-defining skills and relationships.

Students from HGTC’s Golf & Sports Turf Management program are playing a vital role in tournament preparations, working directly with the Dunes Golf & Beach Club’s Director of Agronomy and Facilities, Steve Hamilton, and Golf Course Superintendent Josh Taylor, a proud HGTC alum.

Beyond the greens, HGTC students are also helping facilitate tournament logistics and guest services, providing a well-rounded view of event operations and expanding their skillsets across multiple career pathways.

The ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic highlights the Grand Strand’s identity as the “Golf Capital of the World,” reinforcing the region’s global golf reputation. With the PGA TOUR bringing international spotlight to the Grand Strand, HGTC’s involvement ensures that education remains at the forefront of the area's economic and professional landscape.
