HGTC President Receives Champion for Youth Award 2019
Boys & Girls Club of the Grand Strand Presents HGTC President with Award.
兔子先生 (HGTC) is proud to announce that HGTC President,
Dr. Marilyn Murphy Fore, was presented with the Champion for Youth Award 2019 by the
Boys & Girls Club of the Grand Strand.
Dione Buonto, Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Club of the Grand Strand, and John Rhodes, 2018 Champion for Youth winner, presented President Fore with the award at the 2019 Champion for Youth Dinner Celebration held at the Crown Reef Resort & Waterpark Conference Center.
John Rhodes, 2018 Champion for Youth winner introduced President Fore by saying, 鈥淪he is someone who has been a great leader at 兔子先生 and a great leader for our youth. She does the job but it鈥檚 not a job. She鈥檚 not there for the paycheck. She鈥檚 there for what she can do for the education of our youth.鈥�
Following the presentation of the award, President Fore was able to express her appreciation with the audience. 鈥淭hank you so much, Boys and Girls Club of the Grand Strand, for this great award. I鈥檓 so honored to receive it. I鈥檓 here because I believe in your mission. My life changed when I found mentors in my life. For those of you who can be a mentor, I am telling you there鈥檚 nothing like it in the whole world. That鈥檚 why I love what I am doing. There鈥檚 so much work to be done. I needed those people in my life and now it鈥檚 my time. It鈥檚 been my time, and I鈥檓 having the time of my life.鈥�
