culture, socialization, interaction, social groups and stratification, effects of
population growth, and technology in society and social institutions.
This course introduces the institutions of marriage and the family from a sociological
perspective. Significant forms and structures of family groups are studied in relation
to current trends and social change.
This course is a survey of current social problems in America, stressing the importance
of social change and conflicts as they influence perceptions, definitions, etiology,
and possible solutions.
